An Act of Humanity
A downloadable game for Windows

The Game:
"Just when I thought I was done with this apocalypse, she gone and deceived me."
Set thirty years after the infected arose in the modernised wild west - in a battle with time and soul - don your spurs, pick up your shotgun and fight for your humanity.
You control John, a survivor of the 30 years (and counting) zombie apocalypse. After many years of waiting for the virus to blow over, John tirelessly looks for companionship; one to love and confide in.
After encountering the virus in a particularly direct (yet unexpected) manner, resist the tide of nature slowly changing you into the common infected by shooting your way through the hordes of zombies.
Delay the virus by carrying out the Acts of Humanity: rescuing lost kittens and taking pills.
Are you diligent enough to struggle onwards as your body changes and mutates before you?
The Theme: Change
The player is slowly mutating into a zombie, as indicated by the bar in the top right. Throughout the zombification process, they progressively lose their capabilities to use their weapons: At 50% Zombie, the player can no longer handle the weight of their trusty shotgun and pulls out their pistol; At 85%, the player loses control of both hands, and likewise their pistol, therefore must resort to scrambling about for a way to regain humanity.
In order to regain humanity, carry out Acts of Humanity by finding medication pills or, for example, rescuing a cat that is stuck underneath the wreckage of a car.
However, when taking damage, instead of losing health, the zombies will instead speed up the zombification process - they are unrelenting in changing the player into one of them, therefore the player must carefully manage their humanity to avoid defeat.
